Art Basel Hong Kong 2025 concluded today, celebrating the city’s thriving art ecosystem and reaffirming its role as the premier fair in Asia
- This year’s edition brought together 240 galleries from 42 countries and territories, drawing significant attendance from galleries, artists, and regional and international visitors.
- The fair attracted an overall attendance of 91,000 throughout its VIP and public days.

- Exhibitors reported strong sales across all market segments and show sectors, with significant placements of works by Pacita Abad, Michaël Borremans, Louise Bourgeois, Tracey Emin, Zeng Fanzhi, Yayoi Kusama, Betty Muffler, Yu Peng, Christina Quarles, Pinaree Sanpitak, Park Seo-bo, Félix González-Torres, Zhi Wei, Lu Yang, Yibei Zhang, and Stella Zhong into prominent private and institutional collections.
- Marking its debut at the fair, the MGM Discoveries Art Prize, established to support emerging artists, was awarded on March 28 to Shin Min and her representing gallery, P21 (Seoul), for her installation Ew! There is hair in the food!!, as she uses potent symbolism and personal experiences to confront societal norms and systemic injustices. Selected by an esteemed international jury, the artist and their representing gallery received a USD 50,000 cash prize and the opportunity to exhibit in Macau and share their artistic journey with Macau's artistic talents, inspiring further creativity and ideas.
